Chrome 26 beta released with improved spelling correction

The stable version of Chrome 25 has not even been out for a week and Google has promoted the construction of the canal next beta and plans to release a full version for Windows, Linux and Chrome OS “in the coming weeks” with Mac to follow shortly thereafter. Along with several developers oriented settings (listed below), Chrome 26 brings improved spell check dictionary-updated and new support for Korean, Tamil and Albanian. In addition, you can now sync custom dictionaries across devices.


In addition to renewing the default dictionaries, Google is also adding support for grammar checking, and context-sensitive namesake – the same technology that is likely to already use the Google search and Google Docs. The engine even correct names, such as the misspelling of Stephen Spielberg (“Steven” is correct). This function is limited to English users to enable the “Ask Google for suggestions” spellcheck option, but Google plans to support other languages ​​in the near future.

People who feel even more adventurous may want to review release of Chrome Canary, which contains a feature that adds a little visual indicator of audio gaming chips. It is unclear if or when this feature will come to a stable version of Chrome. Notably, Chrome Canary is primarily for developers and can be unstable.
