Linux kernel patches to surface Chromebook pixels

Google Chromebook flagship could be a solid piece of hardware, but its prohibitive price tag dropped $ 1.299 to 1.449 sore from the ability to dual boot an operating system more robust. Lucky for us that Google Benson Leung has a knack for Linux – which is already a patch in the Linux kernel that supports Pixel hardware. Just hours after the revelation of the laptop, Leung updated the mailing list Linux kernel with patches pixel touchpad support, the touch screen and the ambient light sensor. A small step, to be sure, but that could eventually help the community to build a Linux distro that can take full advantage of Google’s premium hardware.
