Kicking off the line-up 2013, Acer has taken the wraps off the Acer Liquid Z2 – a cheap and cheerful entry level handset Jelly Bean.
The Z2 has tiny proportions (and price) that has recently co-star, the liquid E1, with a 3.5-inch screen and a choice HGVA a 3 megapixel or 5 megapixel rear facing camera. Oh, and a little enhanced by 512 MB of RAM. The liquid E1, meanwhile, comes loaded with a 1GHz dual-core with 1GB of RAM and a 4.5-inch qHD display. Also got a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and a VGA quality camera front. Both entry-level devices comes rocking Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot to boost memory. Acer nailed down both phones to launch in Europe, with the promise that they will come to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ukraine, followed by Russia, the UK and Italy, although there is no official word on exactly when. The Z2 Liquid comes in a wallet-friendly price somewhere between € 99 and € 129 (about £ 87 / U.S. $ 132 to £ 113 / U.S. $ 172). The liquid E1, moreover, is likely to be priced between € 199 (£ 174 or U.S. $ 266) and € 299 (£ 260 or U.S. $ 400) when it arrives.
All eyes in Barcelona next week when we’ll get to see in the flesh (well, plastic).
