Windows Explorer has never been what I would call an easy to use tool. In fact, I think it’s pretty intuitive. However, it is what Windows users are stuck with to move, copy, delete, and organize your files.
If you’ve often wished for a replacement easier, more robust, today is your lucky day: Giveaway of the Day offers Lessau Donald XYplorer 11.90 Windows file manager free. Normally sells for $ 29.95.

No! Bad! Don't click! You want the download link that appears below this inviting blue button. (On the Giveaway of the Day site, that is.)

WARNING: Do not click the big blue Download button next to the description of XYplorer. That’s actually an ad and clicked undesirable results occur.
What you want to do instead is to scroll down a bit, and then click the small “XYplorer 11.90 Download Now” link near the middle of the page. Again, like the link, not the button.
Also, after installing the program (which is activated through servers Contest Day – no code registration required), will be presented with the option to install something called Software Informer. Do not.
Well, now that that’s out of the way, XYplorer is “a program of versatile file management gives users plenty of options to organize and maintain their files. With the basic and more advanced features, this program is a good choice for users of all levels. “
That’s according to CNET review of the program, which concluded with a rating of 4.5 stars. About 60 users rated 4 stars on average.
What I like about XYplorer is an option to see dual panels, which, in my opinion, makes file management much easier than Windows Explorer file tree approach. I also like to be able to color code files and add labels, tags and comments to them.
There is a learning curve here, no doubt about it, but there are plenty of integrated help teach you the ropes. And, well, if you decide you do not like it, nothing happens (or money spent), right?
As with most of the Sweepstakes deals of the day, it is available only – and must be installed today. You are not entitled to updates and technical support, and can not reinstall it later if necessary. Such is the price of free.
Bonus Agreement: Yesterday I showed you a Kindle Fire refurbished for under $ 100. Today, here at CNET, may mark a new Lenovo IdeaPad A1 7-inch tablet for $ 99.99 shipped. That’s after redeeming a $ 15 mail-in rebate. (FYI, the deal goes live within the hour.) Specifications include two cameras, GPS and Android 2.3 (which, with a little searching on Google, you should be able to upgrade to 4.0). The tablet includes a 90 day warranty.
