Dropbox recently updated its Android app with the ability for users to create and share photo albums directly from their Android device.

Last week Dropbox released an update to its Android app. The update brought with it the ability for users to create and share photo albums from directly within the app. You’ll need to have theCamera Upload feature enabled if you want to take advantage of the new albums.
- To begin, make sure you have the latest version of the Dropbox Android app installed on your device.

- Once you have the app updated, make sure you have the photo tab selected along the top. Then tap on the box with a check mark in it to begin selecting photos.

- After you’ve selected the photos you’d like to share, you’ll need to tap on the button highlighted above. You’ll then be prompted to create a new album, or add the photos to an existing album.

- After you’ve set up your album, you can view and share it. Dropbox will provide a unique URL for you to send through the normal means on your Android device. The URL doesn’t seem to expire, but you can easily unshare the album directly in the app.
Viewers of your album can then download photos directly to their computer or Dropbox account if they have one. This feature has yet to launch on iOS, but hopefully it makes its way there soon. Sharing a photo album directly from Dropbox is a great way to send photos to friends and family members while on the go.
